A Great Resource For Houston Job Seekers

My old friend Gerry Fusco who runs the Senior Manager Group at Between Jobs Ministry asked me to stop by and talk with the group about my experiences in job hunting and what I see employers are looking for today.  It was a great experience.  BJM is doing lots of good things helping people find jobs at all levels from entry-level to C-level.

If you are in a job search and are in the Houston area you definitely need to go to BJM.  It is the best networking and job search resource in town.  I think it is probably one of the best in the country.

I attended their networking meetings a couple of years ago. I was also in a corporate sponsored outplacement at the same time. I found BJM resources equal to and in many cases above the paid service. The key difference with the folks at BJM is that it is more than just a job for them - it's about helping and serving other people. It's a wonderful ministry and I recommend people to it frequently.

Excellent point. BJM is as good if not better than most professional outplacement programs. For those of you that haven't been to BJM, you need to go. BJM is a big deal. They offer career counseling, mock interview sessions, resume reviews, networking opportunities, job search work teams and research material. If you're looking for work in the Houston area you need BJM!
